Trevor & Kathryn bring the party to SFU!
Trevor and Kathryn held a beautiful wedding up on Burnaby Mountain at SFU's Diamond Alumni Centre. Their amazing wedding party were up for anything, and my tummy hurt the next day from so much laughter!
After dinner the guests were treated to some of the most touching speeches and toasts I've ever heard, and there was barely a dry eye to be seen. Which led into some crazy line-dancing, a crowd singing along to the groom's newly released single, and the greatest chicken dance ever.

The lovely Jayna Marie was there in the morning doing hair and makeup for Kathryn and her girls. Besides being uber-talented she's also a blast to have around. She made Kathryn look so good that Trevor couldn't seem to look anywhere else after the ceremony! (It's the eyes!!)

keeping the wedding party warm with some exercise...
This is a photo of Kathryn's girls pretending to be um... let's say impatient. In reality, I give them an A+++++ in bridal party awesomeness. These girls carried a shoe box with them all day containing all sorts of little bridal emergency remedies... Tide pen, sewing kit, bandaids... and they were incredibly helpful all day long. But they can pretend :)
And then it was time to party!! Since it was Thanksgiving weekend... a rousing version of the Chicken Dance was in order...
Trevor is a country music singer/songwriter. The DJ played 2 of the singles from his newly released CD and needless to say, the crowd went wild. I'm gonna make it really easy for you... click here and you can request our local country station to play his single... vote for "Down This Road" by the Murray Band.
Thanks for a fun-filled day Trevor & Kathryn!

Jovahn & Nadine at the Sequoia Grill in Stanley Park
West Coast laid back... that's Nadine & Jov.
Does it get any better than a sunset wedding in October? As the sun dipped into English Bay, Nadine and Jovahn said their vows on the patio at the Sequoia Grill in Stanley Park, literally surrounded by their family and friends. After some photos on the seawall, a delicious dinner was served (thanks N&J!) as the sky turned a fiery red. A truly beautiful day for a beautiful couple, inside and out.

Dean & Leanne, Better Together in Fort Langley
After numerous mishaps leading up to their day, I was sort of afraid that the weather would be a bummer for Leanne and Dean... and I was totally wrong! After their ceremony at the historic Milner Chapel and in the middle of a classic west coast 'Pineapple Express' (that's warm rain blowing sideways with crazy wind, for my Back East readers!) we ran all over Fort Langley before their gorgeous reception at the iconic 'yellow building', the Fort community centre.
I can't wait to show these two the rest of the photos... they keep telling me they're "like 6-yr olds waiting for Christmas!" :)

Yep... I am a sucker for grooms with tears. One of the sweetest down-the-aisle moments ever!
Gotta love the inside-out umbrella...
I would really like to take a moment here to thank the wonderful owners and staff at Eighteen27 Martini and Piano Bistro for letting me shoot in the restaurant (again!), during business hours, keeping my couple warm and dry. They don't have a website for me to link to, but if you're in the area be sure to stop in for a martini and chocolate fondue... worth the wait for a table :)
And we also went to the 50's diner... what's a wedding complete with milkshakes and grilled cheese? Pure awesomeness!!
A visit to a pumpkin patch... we found the ORANGE pumpkins!
Congratulations to the newly blended Williams family!!! Aren't they a good looking bunch??

Paolina & John
I'll forever remember Paolina as the bride who hugged me after our first meeting. She and John told me about how they met and how quickly they fell in love... and they made my eyes well up!
They held the ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Vancouver, and reception on Granville Island. After a quick stop at Spanish Banks beach, we ran all over Granville Island to create some unique images... hitting our shoot locations at perfect timing for some great light!
Thanks Paolina and John, I had a blast. It's always extra awesome to photograph two warm and generous people who are a lot of fun to hang out with!
